Gold coin - American Eagle - 1/4 oz

Lady Liberty holding the Torch of Liberty and the proud American eagle give this gold coin its distinctive appearance. The Gold Eagle was first minted in 1986. Initially, the years on Gold Eagles were stamped in Roman numerals; it wasn’t until 1992 that Arabic numerals were used. Like all bullion coins, Gold Eagles are technically legal tender in the country of issue. However, their gold value far exceeds their face value.
