The 1 oz Lunar III Goat Silver Coin 2027 from the Australian mint The Perth Mint celebrates the Year of the Goat in the Chinese lunar calendar. It is made from one troy ounce of silver with a fineness of 999.9/1,000 and is part of the Lunar III series.
The reverse features three goats of different ages alongside a blossoming plum tree. The design symbolises the beginning of spring, renewal and an auspicious new beginning. It is complemented by the Chinese character for goat, the inscription “GOAT 2027” and the “P” mintmark. The obverse bears the portrait of King Charles III as well as the denomination of 1 Australian dollar.
The issue is limited to 300,000 pieces worldwide. A micro-engraved letter on the reverse, visible only under magnification, serves as an additional security feature.
