Since its introduction in 1988, the Royal Canadian Mint’s Maple Leaf silver coin has achieved legendary status as a highly sought-after investment coin. The coin is struck from one troy ounce (31.10 grams) of silver with a purity of 99.99% and has a face value of CAD 5.

This year, the Royal Canadian Mint is once again setting new standards to further enhance the security and appeal of the Maple Leaf silver coins. All coins in this year’s issue feature advanced security features, such as precise radial lines, a micro-engraved maple leaf, and the innovative BULLION-DNA™ anti-counterfeiting technology. An additional feature is the MINTSHIELD™ surface protection. This is the world’s first concept designed to sustainably reduce the occurrence of white spots on silver bullion coins.

As in the previous year, the obverse of this year’s issue features the image of King Charles III, created by Canadian artist Steven Rosati, the face value of 5 dollars, and the current year. The reverse features the eponymous maple leaf, the inscriptions “CANADA” and “FINE SILVER,” the fine weight, and the denomination of one ounce (1 oz).

The 2026 Maple Leaf silver coin is suitable for both first-time buyers of precious metals and long-term investors.

You can purchase the Maple Leaf silver coin individually, in tubes of 25, or in a master box containing 500 coins.
