4 Austrian Ducats gold coin
- Description
Item no.: 120350/01
The Austrian ducats were legal tender in Austria until 1858. From 1857 to 1915 they were then minted with a considerably larger diameter as trade coins. These coins did not enter normal circulation but were used solely in commercial trade between states. The restrikes by the Austrian Mint all bear the date 1915, the point of the final issue of the trade coin, and are particularly suited to investors.
