The Australian mint, the Perth Mint, issued the first edition of the coin series "The Australian Nugget" in 1986. The motif shows the natural gold lumps (nuggets) found by gold prospectors in the Australian outback. From 1990 the motif of the popular gold coin changed and Australian kangaroos were depicted. Since 2008 the series has been called "The Australian Kangaroo". The images are representative of the coin type. We deliver years or motif variants depending on availability.
